Bello Machre was started in 1972 by parents who were raising children with developmental disabilities.
What is your primary product or service?
Bello Machre provides loving care, homes, and support to people with developmental disabiilties. We also provide in-home support services to families who are in need of assistance.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
All of the employees at Bello Machre are dedicated and passionate about helping people with developmental disabilities. Our caring staff provide a safe and secure living environment for those we serve.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
All of the Bello Machre employees are passionate about our mission to provide loving care and support to the people we serve. We provide a home where the folks we serve feel safe and loved. For most employees it's not a job, but a way of life. Everyone feels they are part of a giving and caring family called Bello Machre.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
Bello Machre headquarters is located in Glen Burnie, Maryland. We operate 54 homes throughout Anne Arundel County and one home in Carrol County. Bello Machre is building one new fully wheelchair accessible homes each year that will provide a life time of care for our aging folks. We provide residential services to over 175 people and provide in-home support services to more than 200 people in our community.

From Baltimore Beltway West Side - I-695
Take I-695 towards Glen Burnie and take Exit 2/ Route 10. Proceed on Route 10 and take the Mountain Road Exit. At the end of the ramp, at the light, make a left on Mountain Road. Proceed through the first intersection and make the first left onto Freetown Road. Freetown Road curves to the left – continue straight on New Freetown Road past the center medium following through residential area. After the field on the right, make a right at the white split rail fence – 7765 Freetown Road – directly across from new housing development. Follow to office buildings.
From Baltimore Beltway East Side - I-695
Take 695 over the Key Bridge and take Exit 1 (Ft. Smallwood Road). Make a left onto Ft. Smallwood. Continue on Ft. Smallwood and make a right onto Solley Road (at light). Proceed approximately 1 ½ miles on Solley Road and turn right onto Freetown Road. Proceed a few hundred yards and make a left into the Bello Machre driveway at the white split rail fence. Take I-95 or I-295 South to Route 100 East. Proceed on Route 100 and take exit 16A/ Route 2/ Ritchie Highway South. After exiting onto Route 2/Ritchie Highway, make a left at the first light--Jumpers Hole Road. Proceed on Jumpers Hole Road to the first light--Mountain Road. Make a right on Mountain Road.
